Green Taiga Swans Set in Malaysia.

Around the age of 2-4 years, swans choose a mate which they will generally remain with for the rest of their lives. In some cases, however, they will choose a new mate if their partner dies or if they are unsuccessful at breeding. In the wild, some species of swan can live to be up to 40 years old. They feed primarily on aquatic vegetation but will also eat small fish, frogs and worms. Before European explorers had reached Australia, it was believed that all swans were white. Dutch mariner, Antounie Caen, was the first to be amazed at the sight of Australia’s Black swans on Shark Bay in 1636.

These amazing wooden figures from Green Taiga, have captured these wonderful birds beautifully and are a joy to touch and hold. They have varying texture which assists in developing motor skills and allows the toy to become a guide to the world of wonder and adventure.

Playing with wooden figures instills the love of nature and animals while developing creativity and imagination. These are perfect for young children and are ideal for use in Montessori and Waldorf play settings or as educational tools.
